Schlossrestaurant Akropolis in Schleiz

Greek works differently .. Me and my colleagues wanted to try another Greek and went to Schleiz. Unfortunately the name Schloss Restaurant is far too high. When we entered the guest room we had to reduce our expectations extremely once you are used to the Knossos in Gera or the Greeks in Reichenbach in the Vogtland on the market. The decor reminded me more of a restaurant in the village where traditional German cuisine is served. Nevertheless, we thought that with so many good reviews, the kitchen must be good. What surprised me was that there was no myth (Greek beer) and no Greek noodles were on offer. So I ordered a grill plate with gyros and a salad. Here, unfortunately, came the turning point and the initial euphoria about good Greek food turned into bitter disappointment. The meat (small steak) was dry and hardly provided with the typical spices. The gyros was a fine line between crispy and lightly burnt. The salad with it was without dressing and almost only pure salad, where the battle for supremacy was won by the iceberg lettuce. Even the rice with tomato sauce as a side dish couldn't stand up to Greek noodles. I also think that the price / performance ratio is not appropriate. The service tried very hard but couldn't dissuade us from our disappointment.

Delicious ? food and fast

If you go to the Greeks, you know what to get / should get. Large portions of good (no frills) food for relatively little money. I missed "good food" here. It wasn't bad or anything, but below expectations. Only parts of the large platter were tasty. Lame was good. Rest rather dry. Overall service was good. Very friendly staff at the restaurant improved the impression. Overall rating: i. O.

The food was very good. The portion more like sufficient. Very nice people. The ambience looks very good, especially in the evening.

We regularly go to our "Greek of trust" and have always been satisfied. Large portions at fair prices and nice staff.

Friendly boss, very good wine and the food also fits. The dishes are sufficient and not too greasy. The young service technician could look and act a little more friendly. All in all an enrichment for the city, precisely because many inns close their doors forever

We were on 01.12.19, around 19: 30, the first time here. I had reserved a week earlier, as it should not be so full on Sunday evening. We were greeted by the boss u.an headed to our table. My wife got a beautiful rose bush, from the daughter of the incumbent, gifted u.von the boss a bottle of Greek white wine in a birthday bag.

Great Greek restaurant. The dishes taste very good and are rich. The staff responded to our requests.

Exactly perfect to still be able to taste a dessert afterwards. The inn is very easy to reach! The good transport links makes a food trip promptly possible. The waiters are always deeply gracious and extremely obliging. That makes us happy every time we visit. I found the offer extremely appealing.

Am satisfied. The service is friendly, the food good and the prices reasonable. The ambience could be a bit more Greek (Greek music). The toilets are clean, but could be renovated. Nevertheless, worth 5 * (-:

That's what I call an oasis in the service desert Germany. Starting from a cozy atmosphere, over the more than attentive and friendly service to the fast and good food, everything was very satisfying. Some restaurateurs can take a break for example. If we were to be close again, we definitely know where to have dinner. Keep it up
